UDOT Partnering (Certification)
Format: 8-hour class (one day) — lunch included
Outcome: UDOT Partnering Certification
Prerequisite: Partnering 101 in UDOT Learning Portal (required)
What it is
Hands-on, highly interactive training on applying the UDOT Partnering Guide on real projects—communication, conflict resolution, issue-resolution ladders, and risk registers to surface problems early and reduce disputes.

Required prerequisite (no exceptions)

UDOT Partnering Continuing Education (Recertification)
Format: 2-hour refresher
Outcome: Keeps certification current
Cycle: Required every 5 years
What it is
A focused update on Partnering Values & Tools, lessons learned from recent projects, and peer-to-peer discussion across UDOT, contractor, and consultant roles.
Who needs this & when
Anyone previously certified must recertify every 5 years. Failure to recertify may prevent you from working on UDOT projects.
Recertification year guide

Certified on or before 2015 → CE required in 2025

Certified 2016–2021 → CE required in 2026

Certified 2022 and on → Every 5 years after your original date
UDOT Partnering Facilitation Certification Course
Format: 1 day, 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Capacity: Limited to 15 participants
Recommended: Active Partnering certification (strongly recommended)
What it is
Advanced training for professionals who will lead Partnering sessions on UDOT projects. Build facilitation skill, structure agendas, drive participation, surface risks, and resolve issues effectively.
Who should attend
Experienced Contractor/Consultant PMs, superintendents, UDOT PMs/REs, and project leaders tasked with facilitating Partnering meetings (in-person, virtual, or hybrid).
